Cooper has had a very long and tiring day. He started with an x-ray scan for swallowing. The results were perfect, no issues there. Then he was assessed for verbal and communication skills. He was "solid" at 9-12 months, which means he mastered that stage. He was "scattered" at 12-15 months, meaning he is still learning in that age range. Even though he has declined since surgery, he is still right where he needs to be. This was awesome news.

During physical therapy today he was fitted for a custom-made boot to help with his foot and he got a wheelchair to help him start using his left arm. Let's hope it helps.

Cooper didn't want to work during occupational therapy today because he was so tired and we had taped his eye lid open and patched the other eye. He became very upset and it was a hard hour for Cooper and Mommy. It was so hard watching him struggle tying to do things he used to do without any assistance.

For lunch Cooper ate a grilled cheese, peas and corn, oranges, and yogurt. His appetite is defiantly back! He had an eye study done to see if he is able to see out of his left eye. We won't get the results until sometime next week. Please pray we get a positive report. While we were having the eye test, Daddy donated blood! Thanks for all of you who do!!!

After speech, physical, occupational therapy, lunch and the eye test, Cooper was more than ready for a nap. He slept from 1 until we woke him at 4:20! While Cooper was sleeping we got the opportunity to move to a bigger more open room. We are more than happy. We have the same view of the water. The bed is no longer a pull-out chair but a window bed! Our bathroom is much larger, along with our cabinets and closet, and we have a night stand and sink! We are living in luxury :-) Several have asked for our address:

The three of us had dinner as a family. I was able to get some sushi (hospital sushi that is...). Cooper had some delicious cheese ravioli, green beans, pears, and cheese. We are so proud of his eating now.  He became very fussy after dinner, I'm sure from the patch and taped eye. We spent a long time walking the Pod. He enjoyed his bath and stories, but not the blood being taken and medicines. However, he is in dreamland now.

Cooper doesn't look too happy in this picture, he was tired and aggravated.
