Surgery Day
They came and got Cooper just a few minutes after 6 this morning. This picture is minutes before surgery.
This was the longest day of our lives! After 7 hours the doctor came out to talk to us. We were told they were able to get a large about of the 3.5 cm (golf-ball size) tumor, but discovered it was also in Cooper's eye nerves. The only way to get those tumors would be to blind him and cause a lot more damage. Of course we didn't want that. Cooper looked amazing after surgery. We were so impressed with how beautiful and perfect he still looked!
