The nurse came in early this morning and told us they were going on with Cooper's shunt surgery. About half an hour later they called for him. Luckily, the two teams were able to work together so that Cooper was able to get both the shunt and port surgery today. We headed to the OR about 8:30 this morning. They brought Cooper back to the room at 2:15 this afternoon. It was another long day, but everything went well. Both surgeries went as planned and Cooper did great. He has slept all day and is still resting well.

I sure hate that Cooper had to go through this, but I'm glad it went well and is over with. Hopefully the shunt will help him to feel much better. I know when Cooper feels better, mommy and daddy do too! Still praying for all of you and hope how soon things can get back to at least a fairly normal state for you all. Love, Hugs and Prayers. ReplyDeleteIM glad they got to do both at one time...and IM glad he is sleeping better...he is so sweet....and most of all IM glad he is doing well after surgery...keep being strong for that sweet boy...God is in control...and is with you always...we love you guys...

ReplyDeleteI am so relieved that they were able to do both procedures today. One surgery is definitely better than two! I am praying that Cooper will be feeling much better now and that there are good days ahead of everybody's favorite trooper! Both of the pictures on this post are precious! I hope you and Randy are able to get some much deserved rest tonight.
