Monday: December 16, 2013

We figured with the busy day Cooper had yesterday, he would sleep through the night without any trouble. Well, I didn't have to get up with him, but he did toss and turn and was very restless all night. This of course started the day off on a grumpy note. He still wouldn't eat breakfast and he was very fussy during therapy sessions. The swing and fish were the only things that would calm him down. He did enjoy the bean-bag chair in the gym. He napped well, of course! They did a chest x-ray to make sure his port was still in the right position, but we haven't heard back from that yet. Also, they checked his sodium levels again and they were lower. The last 3 checks have fallen. So, they are going to start checking those more often to better monitor the levels and his medication. This means blood work every day now, as opposed to once a week. Cooper had a pretty good afternoon. He played with his lunch, ate a little dinner, walked around the hospital, and had some coffee ice cream! We are hoping he will be able to rest well tonight so tomorrow will be a successful day.

The swing is always fun!

Enjoying the bean-bag chair.

Mommy's Fav of the Day: Cooper got some new cars in the mail today. I love this picture of him playing with them.

  4. Cooper has captured so many hearts all over the place. He's such a little cutie. No precious little person should have to deal with so much so soon in their life. I hope that Santa is very good to this little fellow and I am certain that he will be. Jessica you and Randy and Cooper remain in my thoughts and prayers. It's great to see how much progress he makes each and every day. I so enjoy your posts and keeping up with Cooper. Many more blessings to come I'm sure. Praise God for all the progress that Cooper continues to make.
