Tuesday: December 10, 2013

Today has been the busiest day yet. We have spent the major part of our day either on the telephone or in meetings. After going back and forth for many hours, they have allowed us to stay here until tomorrow morning. We will be leaving for CHKD around 4 a.m. However, the Ronald McDonald house is full until the 17th, leaving us without a place to stay. Only one parent is allowed to stay in the room during the night. We are praying that this will have worked itself out before arriving there tomorrow.

Cooper's MRI results show there is still fluid on the brain, but they said that's completely normal. Everything else looked good with the MRI. Also, the PED's Surgery looked at his port access and said it looked normal as well. We are still a little concerned due to the way it looked yesterday.

Cooper enjoyed himself quite a bit last night. At 1:30 he decided it was time to get up. We fought with him until 4, when we finally gave up and put him in bed with us. We were up before 6! Cooper actually made it until 11:00 before deciding he wanted to nap. Let's hope he stays asleep since we have such an early start tomorrow!

I didn't take but one picture today! We were so busy. This one is thanks to Miss Donna! Cooper enjoying some milk right before bed.

  3. It sounds like you had a very tiring day. I'm so happy that the MRI and port both look good. I'm praying that you have a safe trip back to Norfolk and that accommodations will open up before you arrive. Mostly, though, I am praying that Cooper continues to make excellent progress! Give Cooper a little smoochie from me and Herk!
