Tomorrow is THE DAY! After spending 83 days in the hospital we are ready to eat dinner at our table, take showers in our tub, and sleep in our bed. We are so excited to see our "pup pup," Harley. We are anxious to see how Cooper responds to being back at home.

He had a pretty good night, was up from 12 - 2, then slept until 6:40. He has been in a great mood today. His therapies went awesome, he ate pretty well, and has played a lot. He took his afternoon nap on Miss Candice's lap and slept through Chemo. He got lots of attention from all of the nurses today!

Cooper did have somewhat of a rough afternoon. While Mommy and Daddy were at the Ronald McDonald House packing, Cooper fell out of his wagon. The nurses said he was fine, only cried for a minute. He does have a nice bruise on his forehead. We all decided he wanted to "go out with a bang." Cooper also had to have a shot and of course that upset him. After his long afternoon, he is tired. Hopefully he will sleep well, even though the nurses have to come in every 4 hours to make sure he's okay (due to his fall).

Our plan is to be on the road by 8:00!

Thanks again for all of you who are keeping up with Cooper, sending thoughts, cards, gifts, and most of all praying for him!

Cooper got me up early enough to watch the sun rise: beautiful!

Cooper's Therapist: PT, OT, and Speech: They will be greatly missed!

A new kind of play for Cooper during OT

Cooper doesn't need water for his bath to be fun!

So, this is just from Cooper's room! Both sides of the cart are shown. I was unable to get a picture of the stuff from the Ronald McDonald House. I hope there is room for Cooper in the truck tomorrow!

He loves to push the buttons for the elevators.

One last car ride

Going fast down the slope! Cooper's favorite.

Mommy's Fav of the Day: I know you can't see his face, but I think this picture is precious!

  1. It may be in you best interest to rent a U-Haul! It is amazing the generosity, thoughtfulness and love that so many have for Cooper. Even total strangers! God has placed some wonderful people on this earth and I'm sure each and everyone will be greatly rewarded. I'm sure everyone there will miss Cooper, (and you two), but I'm sure all of you will miss everyone there. They have really been good to you all. Love the pictures and notice Cooper is using his left hand. Hope you all have a safe and good trip tomorrow. Be careful and anxious to see you all. Love, Hugs & Prayers

  2. I am so happy for all of you; I know you have feelings of sadness as well..When you have to say goodbye to all of those who have shown so much love and taken such good care of Cooper isn't easy.. Another journey begins and I am sure it will be challenging for a while.. But, you (Jessica), Randy, Cooper and ( all the family and friends) have shown such amazing strength and courage that comes from within and from the Good Lord above will open the doorway to home with open arms.. God bless all, be safe and continued Love and prayers from me and Hunter.. Welcome Home!!
