Once again Cooper had a long night, but a great day. Even though he isn't resting well, he is making great progress during the day. He did great in both his PT and OT sessions this morning. He walked for at least 30 minutes of his PT time and was happy about it. I love to see him enjoying his therapy sessions, rather being forced into doing things he doesn't want to do.

He also ate pretty well today. Miss Janet was able to get him to eat an entire yogurt and applesauce for his lunch.

Cooper's sodium spiked again today. It was 148. We are very aware when it is high because he wets his diaper every few minutes and only wants to drink. He started this at 5 a.m. His medicine helped during the day, but it began again this afternoon. We are hoping it's just a little "bump in the road" and we won't have to start messing with his dosage again.

It's hard to believe we are coming home on Saturday. Cooper will have one more round of Chemo here, which is his Vincristine (3 minute push). Then when we return home he will have his pill form of Chemo, Temozolomide, for 5 days. Cooper will then get a 3 week break. During that week he will have an MRI to see how the Chemo is affecting the tumor. If it appears to be doing it's job, then we will continue with the same Chemo plan. If it looks as though it is not working then they will look into readjusting things. As time draws nearer to us returning home, we have mixed feelings. We are so excited to get to see our dog, cook our own meals, and sleep in our own beds. However, we are worried that if something happens, like the sodium issue we had today, we won't have a nurse to help us. We have lots of prayer requests as time draws closer for us to return home.

  1. Sure wish he could rest of a night. Maybe getting in his own bed will make a difference. It's good though that he has been having good days and working hard in his therapies. I'm sure you all will do fine at home, may take a little while to get the hang of things, but you'll do it. Will still say prayers. Anxious to see all of you. Love, Hugs & Prayers
