Wednesday: January 22, 2014

Cooper woke at 10:00 last night and drank 8 oz of water.Once again, sodium is what we thought. But, then he slept until 2 and there was nothing I could do to calm him. He refused his drink and didn't want to be held. But if I put him in his crib he would scream. Finally after 45 minutes of trying to get him to sleep we gave him Tylenol. After that he slept until almost 7. We are thinking it may have been his teeth. I really wish he was able to tell us what is wrong when he is hurting.

He was in a very happy mood for most of the day. We had an OT interview/evaluation this morning. Everything seems to be moving in the right direction. She told us that Cooper is doing amazingly well considering all he has been through.

I had a doctor's appointment in Roanoke this afternoon so Cooper got to spend some time with Maw Maw. He had a good afternoon with her. He was very tired when we got home, so we did our medicines and bath, and went straight to bed.

Cooper has a 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 2:00, and 4:00 appointment tomorrow in Roanoke for therapies, follow ups, and Chemo. Please pray that his Chemo goes well. This will be his first time taking this medication so we aren't sure how he will react to it.

  2. Congratulations on Cooper improving enough to be home. Adults seems to do better once they're back in their own home after a stay in the hospital...hopefully Copper is the same way. Prayers for continued improvement and a good day in Roanoke.

  3. Praying all goes well tomorrow. It's going to be a long day for all of you. Hopefully you all will sleep well and things will go smoothly with all of Cooper's appointments. It's very obvious that Cooper and Harley love each other. They were pretty much side by side all day today. I think Randy is right, Harley is Cooper's personal therapy dog. Thanks for letting me spend the day with Cooper, and of course Harley. I totally enjoyed it. Love, Hugs & Prayers.

  4. I am so glad you got to come home that has to feel wonderful. All Faith talks about is wanting you to come and visit your class. She checks up on Cooper everyday and really wanted to come and see him while he was in Roanoke but with her hectic schedule, my work and school schedule, and her sisters basketball and school schedule it was impossible. If you all need anything at all please let me know I will do what I can.

  5. So glad to hear things seem to be moving in the right direction..It would help if he could tell you what was wrong when he is not resting or upset; I understand how you feel.. When Mark was just a baby, (younger than Cooper); he cried, I cried then we went to the Doctor and he had an earache so the doctor said always put drops in the ears just in case because it won't hurt him.. Prayers for tomorrow and hope all rest well tonight.. Love fom me and Hunter..
