Merry Christmas Jewell's

Sunday: January 19, 2014

Today was Christmas at the Jewell's. Cooper slept great. Only got up once through the night. Let's hope he sleeps just as well tonight. He did a great job occupying himself while I started our Christmas dinner. Mom came up and played with him for a while so I could unpack, clean, and cook. My sister and her husband got in around lunch time, so they had a few hours to enjoy Cooper before Christmas began.

We had a great dinner: chicken alfredo lasagna, candied carrots, fruit salad, and bread. After dinner we opened our gifts, then had dessert: blueberry cake, chocolate cake, cookies, and coffee. Cooper still isn't eating at all. It took us all day to get one milk in him. I'm really worried about him not having any interest in food.

Cooper has been in the best mood all day! Prayers are still being answered!

I tried very hard to get Cooper to lay down with me this morning: this is the response I got. He will not sleep anywhere but his own bed!

Mommy's Fav of the Day: How could this not be? Just look at that face.

Oh my gosh - a book called MOO!

He finally got his very own mailbox!

  1. Thank you so much for such a wonderful day. Holding Cooper and giving him a huge hug made my day! I have missed that little man so much. It was great to see Susan and Brandon and to have all of us together, it was awesome. The meal was great and you did such a great job, especially considering you only had a matter of hours to prepare things after a long trip home. At least you did get back in your kitchen and was able to do your own cooking. Glad you had us to help, (eating it at least). As I said before, it isn't when you celebrate Christmas, but WHY and HOW you celebrate. Thank you again and Welcome Home! Love to All. Love, Hugs & Prayers

  3. Merry Christmas to you all :) I hope Cooper starts eating. I know it must be hard without the nurses and doctors you have relied on all these months. Praying for Cooper daily. We have a picture of him right on our fridge Isabel printed out at school. He is in our minds several times a day.
