WE ARE HOME!!!!!!!

It was hard to say goodbye to so many wonderful people who have been our "family" for the last several months. We were on the road at 8 heading home. We had a really good trip. Cooper stayed awake for a long time before falling asleep, then woke in a good mood. We were able to meet up with Cooper's cousins, who were heading in the direction we were coming from for a vacation. They all hadn't been together since 2 days before Cooper was diagnosed. We enjoyed lunch at McDonalds. A very kind gentleman and his sweet little girl gave Cooper a McDonalds gift card. There are so many wonderful people in this world.

Cooper did sick after lunch, but has been fine since then. He really didn't know what to think when he got home. I'm not sure he fully understood or remembered where he was. He did play in the floor and his pup-pup wouldn't leave his side. It took an hour to unload the truck, we didn't even attempt unpacking. We enjoyed the afternoon with Cooper. It took Randy an hour to get all of his medicines organized, then it took me almost 1/2 an hour to prepare and give them to him.

Mommy and Cooper made a blueberry cake for tomorrow. We are having Christmas with Mommy's side of the family and can't wait! I volunteered to do the cooking because I haven't cooked in 3 months. I'm dying to get in that kitchen!

Cooper did a great job going to sleep. Hoping and Praying he rest all night! Thanks for all who prayed we would have a safe trip home!

Cooper is really going to miss Miss Teressa

  5. Sounds like you had a wonderful trip home and a great first day back in your own house. Your doggie looks glad to have his little friend home. Cooper looks so happy too. I hope you all had a wonderful and restful night. You must live in a wonderful town full of love for you all. Loved the signs all over your town. Take care and Cooper keep doing an amazing job with your therapies. You are a brave sweet little boy and God will always take care of you.

  6. I have tears of joy streaming down my face! When you are sick you need to be in the hospital, BUT WHEN YOU GET BETTER YOU GET TO GO HOME! PRAISE THE LORD! The big smiles on Cooper's face in the car on the way home, sitting in his own big chair at home, and taking a bath in his own bathtub with his own rubber duckies and his reunion with Pup-Pup are truly heartwarming!! I know you appreciate all of the Welcome Home signs, but I just want to say, "Thank You." to Melinda and Caroline Ogle (who put up the signs along 460) from everybody who are so happy you are home. Finally, I just want to say, Praise God, for pulling your little boy through. That doesn't mean we won't keep praying and believing for a full recovery! It is through physicians and medicine, through miracles, through the faith of friends and family, through prayer, through time, through Christ and through His promise of Heaven that He does restore the sick to perfect health and Cooper has ALL of these with the addition of loving, knowledgeable, Christian parents who are highly capable of taking over with the rehabilitation where the hospital left off. I AM BELIEVING for a FULL RECOVERY ; I've felt it in my heart since Cooper went into the hospital and I still do! We love you and are so glad you are home. Hope to see you soon.

  8. Just for a few seconds it made my heart sad that you all were saying goodbye to the environment and to all of those who have been with, cared for and Loved Cooper, you Jessica and Randy for such a long time.. On the other hand it brought over whelming joy to my heart for all of you that you were on your trip Coming Home!! I love all the pic's and signs but most of all the love, prayers and kindness from the heart's of each and everyone behind them. This day as already passed as I am just now reading the blog and I already know that you all had a safe trip him and that Cooper did fine on the trip.. So many people but most of all the Good Lord has seen you all through this far and I give him the praise for what he has done and will continue to do in your lives as I know you all will continue in his name.. I too believe God will work miracles in Cooper's full recovery.. Love and continued prayers from me and Hunter..Welcome Home!!
